Plinko strategy: what rows and risk really change

Updated 27 October 2026

Every Plinko board on KRUNA returns between 96.5% and 97% of what is bet on it. No setting changes that by much. What rows and risk do change is the spread: how often a drop pays back the bet, and how far a lucky drop goes.

σ is the standard deviation of one drop's multiplier: how far a typical drop lands from the average.

Same loss, different ride

On 8 rows at Low risk, 73% of drops pay back at least the bet and the best slot pays 5.60×. On 16 rows at High risk only 21% do, but the edge slots pay 1,000×.

Over 100 drops of $1, both lose about the same on average: $3.20 and $3.02. The calm board gets there in small steps; the wild one usually loses faster and occasionally lands a big hit.

Betting systems

Doubling after a loss (Martingale), streak-chasing and "hot slot" patterns cannot change the return: every peg is an even left or right, drawn fresh from your seeds, and no drop remembers the last one. A system only moves when you win or lose, not how much on average.

Bets run from $0.10 to $20.00 and one drop pays at most $1,000.00, so the largest bet on a board with a big edge slot is lower (on 16 rows at High it is $1.00).

Picking a board

  • To play long on a small balance: few rows, Low risk.
  • To chase one big multiplier: 16 rows, High risk, and expect most drops to return 0.2×.
  • Either way, set a budget first; the edge works on what you wager, not on what you win.

Questions

What is the best Plinko strategy?
There is no strategy that raises the return. Choose the board for the ride you want: Low risk for steadier play, High risk for bigger, rarer hits.
Which Plinko board has the best odds?
The returns sit between 96.5% and 97%; the highest is 96.98%. The table above lists them all.
Does the ball's path depend on earlier drops?
No. Each drop draws new numbers from your seed pair and the next nonce.
